Conference Summary
The 2023 National TRIO & GEAR UP Programs Virtual Career Conference features numerous career-oriented workshops and career track discussions from professionals in a variety of fields with information that is applicable to TRIO and GEAR UP participants of ALL ages! The live event is 4 hours long and programs and registrants will receive links to recordings to watch the other sessions as well or host their own in-house conference with their chosen recorded sessions!
Bonus benefits include free resume review and career assessments provided by the conference sponsors.
The final conference schedule of events will be released in early March.
Information on how to join the conference virtually will be shared via email to paid registrants.

Payment Methods Accepted
TRIO Works LLC accepts the following forms of payment for registrants:
Credit Card - Following registration, if this method is selected, a unique payment link will be sent to registrants indicating the total price based on date of registration and number of registered participants.
Invoice/Purchase Order - A quote and invoice will be generated and sent to your program/institution along with vender registration forms and W-9 or other forms required by your institutional/organizational policy.
The first 300 registrants for the TRIO and GEAR UP Programs Career Conference will receive a FREE SDS Career Assessment.
The SDS is based on a theory developed by John Holland, known as RIASEC theory, that both people and work environments can be classified according to six basic types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. These personality types are known together as RIASEC.
The assessment asks questions about an individual’s aspirations, activities, competencies, interests, and other self-estimates. It takes only about 20 minutes to complete.
At the end of the online assessment, an interactive, customized report is generated. Reports are accessible for the next four years! Depending on the answers, students and staff will receive a StandardSDS report, a StudentSDS report, or a VeteranSDS report.

Welcome remarks, brief explanation of the webinar platform and technology for attendees, and a keynote speech pertaining to the conference theme "Navigating the Career Journey."

Students and staff attend presentations and discussions with professionals about specific career fields such as health, engineering, finance, social work, law, education, computer science, and more

Closing Remarks and Evaluation
We end the conference with gratitude for the presenters and participants and share about how to follow up with recordings
